What stays on your phone

Your events — titles, dates, venues, notes, reminder settings and any screenshot you attached — are stored only in Lineup's own storage on your device. We never receive a copy, and deleting the app deletes all of it.

What gets sent, and when

One thing leaves your phone: the content you ask Lineup to read. When you paste a link or text, or pick a screenshot, and tap Read it, we send that content to our server, which:

• opens the link, if there is one, and reads the public page behind it;
• passes the text or image to OpenAI, our AI provider, which extracts the event details; and
• returns the result to your phone and forgets it.

Our server keeps no database and stores neither your content nor the result. OpenAI processes the request on our behalf under its API terms and does not use it to train its models.

If you never tap Read it — you add every event by hand — nothing about your events is ever sent anywhere.

Technical information

To stop one person from running up the AI bill for everyone, our server counts recent requests per internet (IP) address. That count is held in memory for up to an hour and then discarded. It isn't linked to you, your events or any identifier, and it isn't written to disk.

Permissions Lineup asks for

• Calendar — only to write the events you choose to export into your calendar, and to remove them again if you ask. Lineup does not read your existing calendar entries.
• Photos — only to open the single screenshot you pick. Lineup has no access to the rest of your library.
• Notifications — to show your reminders. They're scheduled on the device; no reminder passes through a server.

Payments

If you subscribe to Lineup Pro, Apple handles the payment. We never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to tell us whether your subscription is active; it receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase history for that purpose only.

What we don't do

• No advertising, and no ad networks in the app.
• No analytics or tracking SDKs — we don't measure how you use Lineup.
• We do not sell or share your information with anyone.

Children

Lineup isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Your choices

Because everything is on your device, you're in control: delete an event to remove it, or delete the app to remove everything. There's no server-side account for us to erase. If you'd like a copy of anything we hold, ask — the honest answer is usually that we hold nothing.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and note it in the app.

What Lineup is

Lineup is a bucket list for events. It reads event details out of links, text and screenshots you give it, keeps them in a personal calendar on your phone, and reminds you before they happen.

The reader can be wrong

Event details are extracted by an AI model from whatever the source says. It gets dates, venues and prices wrong sometimes, and a flyer itself can be out of date. That's why Lineup always shows you the details to check before saving.

Check the original listing before you travel, and before you rely on a ticket on-sale time. We can't be responsible for an event you miss.

Free and Pro

• Free includes everything in the app, with 5 AI reads per calendar month. Adding events by hand, reminders, the calendar and exporting are unlimited.
• Lineup Pro lifts the read limit. Nothing else is locked behind it.
• Events you already saved stay yours. If your subscription lapses, nothing in your lineup is deleted or hidden.

Subscriptions

Lineup Pro is billed through your Apple ID and renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Purchases are also covered by Apple's standard licence terms.

Fair use

Please don't:

• use Lineup to break the law or someone else's rights;
• feed it content you have no right to, or scrape sites at a scale their owners wouldn't allow; or
• try to get around the read limit by automating the app.

Some sites refuse to be read by anything but a browser. Lineup respects that and tells you rather than working around it.

Other people's events

Event listings, images and ticket links belong to the venues, hosts and platforms that published them. Lineup shows you a copy for your own use; it doesn't sell tickets and isn't affiliated with any ticketing service.

Ending things

You can stop using Lineup whenever you like — delete the app and every trace of your data goes with it. We may suspend access if the fair use rules above are being broken.
